The great observer Tycho Brahe could not accept that the Earth moved — yet could not deny the elegance of Copernicus — so he proposed a third way: the Sun and Moon circle the Earth, but all the other planets circle the Sun. Cellarius diagrams this ingenious hybrid in full splendour. It was the compromise of a transitional age, when the heavens were being rewritten and no one yet knew which vision would win. A beautiful monument to a world in the midst of changing its mind.

Before a size goes on sale, the file is measured against it: pixels per inch at that size, how much of the picture a crop would lose, tone and sharpness. A size that fails is not offered, so there is nothing to choose wrong.
