The Detouche house again — this time as the Rijksmuseum's print room keeps it, an advertising print formal enough to be collected as a work on paper. That is the quiet joke of trade ephemera: the shop printed it to be glanced at and discarded, and a national museum catalogued it instead. Horology's paper trail was made with the same care as its wheel trains, and occasionally an institution notices.
