Before Hevelius, no one had truly mapped another world. His Selenographia of 1647 was the first atlas of the Moon — patient telescopic drawings of its mountains, craters, and seas, which he named, poignantly, after the mountains and waters of the Earth. It founded the science of mapping the lunar surface and stood as its standard for a generation. The moment humanity first drew a map of somewhere it could never walk.

Before a size goes on sale, the file is measured against it: pixels per inch at that size, how much of the picture a crop would lose, tone and sharpness. A size that fails is not offered, so there is nothing to choose wrong.
