See pieces like it you can buyAn angel sounds a trumpet from the clouds, and below, figures rise with open arms from their coffins on a grey sea. Pamela Colman Smith drew it in 1909 as the card of the great awakening — the call and the answer, the reckoning that lifts rather than condemns. A cross-marked banner hangs from the trumpet. Smith completed all seventy-eight images in a matter of months for a flat fee, and the deck answered to other names for the better part of a century. Find the rising figures, the far white mountains, and the 'PCS' monogram set into the lower corner.
