See pieces like it you can buyA crowned figure sits between two pillars, an upraised sword in one hand and level scales in the other. Pamela Colman Smith drew her in 1909 for the card A. E. Waite numbered eleven, trading places with Strength in the older order. Sword and scale together: the weighing and the cut, judgement made whole. Smith gave the deck its clarity of gesture in a matter of months, working for a flat fee, and was left uncredited for a hundred years while her images circled the world. Look for the square clasp at her throat and the 'PCS' monogram low in the frame.

Before a size goes on sale, the file is measured against it: pixels per inch at that size, how much of the picture a crop would lose, tone and sharpness. A size that fails is not offered, so there is nothing to choose wrong.
