A Dai Nippon Brewery Company poster for Asahi lager, explicitly marketed as "specially brewed for export" — Japanese commercial art built for an international shelf from day one. Asahi is a live, major global beer brand today — sold here strictly as art history, flagged live, the same rule as every other currently-pouring mark in this house. The export framing itself — this is advertising aimed outward, at a market beyond Japan, decades before "export lager" was a familiar category to Western drinkers. The label planned for the world before the world had noticed.
