Not every arquebusier angel that survives carries a legible inscription — ribbon lettering fades, canvases get trimmed or relined, and a name gets lost while the image itself endures. This is one of those: recognizably part of the militia format, plume and gun and all, but without the specific identity that would let it stand beside Eliel or Uriel by name. It belongs in the collection anyway — a reminder that this was a production genre before it was a gallery of individual portraits, and that anonymity was always more common in this tradition than the named exceptions suggest.

Before a size goes on sale, the file is measured against it: pixels per inch at that size, how much of the picture a crop would lose, tone and sharpness. A size that fails is not offered, so there is nothing to choose wrong.
