Raphael — the archangel of healing, best known from the apocryphal Book of Tobit as a traveling companion and protector — is one of the four canonical archangels most colonial workshops painted repeatedly, often outside the strict militia format entirely. This canvas keeps him inside it: the plumed hat and formal dress of his invented siblings, an identity built more from costume convention than from any specific attribute of his own legend. It is a useful reminder that "arquebusier angel" was less a fixed subject than a production system — any named angel, scriptural or invented, could be run through the same workshop template.

Before a size goes on sale, the file is measured against it: pixels per inch at that size, how much of the picture a crop would lose, tone and sharpness. A size that fails is not offered, so there is nothing to choose wrong.
