Agnes — a Roman martyr venerated since antiquity, traditionally shown young and holding a lamb (a pun on her name and the Latin "agnus") — is one of the older European saint cults the colonial Andes inherited wholesale, painted by anonymous Peruvian workshops using the same print sources and iconographic conventions as any Iberian devotional image. The painting now belongs to the Hispanic Society of America in New York, a research collection built specifically around the art of Spain, Portugal, and Latin America — a fitting institutional home for a devotional object that is itself a document of that exact cultural transmission.

Before a size goes on sale, the file is measured against it: pixels per inch at that size, how much of the picture a crop would lose, tone and sharpness. A size that fails is not offered, so there is nothing to choose wrong.
