Leonetto Cappiello's advertising poster for Champagne De Rochegré of Épernay — his trademark bold figure against flat color, the style that made him. Champagne De Rochegré survives only in this poster and 19th-century merchant records; it is absent from the current champagne.fr and Union des Maisons de Champagne directories. A dead house. A rare Cappiello whose subject is genuinely lost — most of the houses he drew are still pouring; this one isn't. The poster is nearly all that remains of the brand.
