A standing kolf player with his club, engraved in the mid-eighteenth century. The clearest single image of the old game’s equipment and stance that survives at wall scale — a portrait of the club as much as the man. The club head is enormous and the shaft barely bends. Nothing about this asks to be swung fast. Every tool tells you how its game was played.
