A satirical vision of "the future monument to peace" — grand allegorical architecture — repurposed as the sales pitch for Absinthe Rivoire, printed by Vercasson. The bans of the 1910s closed this house along with the rest of the category. The joke about a lasting monument turned out to be the whole point: nothing about this business lasted. Auzolle's confident, almost architectural line work — poster design borrowing the visual authority of a public monument to sell a bottle. The monument to peace was never built. The poster survived instead.
