A technical schematic of an illicit still, filed as evidence in a U.S. Bureau of Prohibition case (Seattle office, Record Group 56) — the honest answer to "where is the moonshine imagery." Moonshine, being illicit, left no advertising to collect — this is the closest real, checkable record of it in this house: not art, evidence. The plainness of a diagram doing the work a poster would elsewhere — no romance, no figure, no brand, just the mechanism. The still had no marketing budget. It had a case number.
