A brewery advertising print for the Griesedieck Bros. Brewing Company of St. Louis, a leading local rival to Anheuser-Busch in the pre-Prohibition era. Weakened by Anheuser-Busch's post-Repeal budget brands, Griesedieck Bros. sold to Falstaff Brewing in 1957; the brand was discontinued around 1960 and the plant closed in 1977. A house big enough to fight the giant in its own city — the scale of what St. Louis brewing once was. It outlived Prohibition and still lost, slowly, to the brewery across town.

Before a size goes on sale, the file is measured against it: pixels per inch at that size, how much of the picture a crop would lose, tone and sharpness. A size that fails is not offered, so there is nothing to choose wrong.
