A National Photo Company press photograph documenting a federal liquor raid during the second year of nationwide Prohibition. Enforcement-era photojournalism — the flip side of every poster elsewhere in this house. The camera catches the raid as procedure, not spectacle — the same flat documentary register as the rest of this series. Every bottle in this house survived one of these.
